Community Room Rental offers Memberships that provide access to a private room that includes utilities, internet, and laundry usage all in one fixed, monthly payment. Common areas are furnished but bedrooms are not. To furnish your bedroom, see our relationship with IKEA for full room furnishing on a budget. Community Room Rental facilitates the relationship by processing all booking, payments, screening, and ratings.
Membership dues are the monthly housing payment for access to your private room and the shared community spaces, along with included services such as utilities and Wi-Fi where applicable. In many places on the site, we may refer to this as rent or membership dues.
Application timing depends on how complete the application is and whether any additional documents, screening review, cosigner, or conditional approval steps are needed. Some applications can move quickly, while others may take longer if information is missing or additional review is required. After approval, we send lease and payment instructions. Your room is secured once: Your lease is signed Your required deposit/payment is received Your move-in date is confirmed Move-in support is generally available Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM EST. We strongly recommend planning your move-in during those hours. While most move-ins are quick, we recommend that you allow extra time just in case. Move-ins outside of support hours may have delayed assistance.
Our co-living spaces are designed to foster a vibrant, community-focused environment. To ensure fairness and consistency for all residents, our policy assigns one person per bedroom; assigning more than one person to a room is not within our policy design. This approach helps maintain a balanced living experience and equal access to space for everyone in our community. Additionally, we adhere to county codes limiting the number of unrelated people living in a house together (single room occupancy). Mecklenburg County UDO 2-16 If you have special or extenuating circumstances, please reach out to our team at info@CommunityRoomRental.com to discuss directly.
